Kano, Nigeria — The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested Bashir Abubakar for his involvement in the printing and selling of shirts intended for an upcoming protest in Kano.

The arrest took place on Sunday, as confirmed by a DSS spokesperson.
The shirts, which were reportedly being distributed to rally support for the protest, were seized during the operation. The DSS stated that such actions are being taken to maintain peace and order in the region.
