Nigerian political commentator, Deji Adeyanju, has issued a cautionary statement, expressing concern that Russia could potentially orchestrate a coup in Nigeria.
He urged the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to respond swiftly and decisively regarding the situation in Niger Republic.
Adeyanju emphasized that if ECOWAS fails to take prompt action, Nigeria might face the risk of a coup plot by Russia.

Additionally, he challenged the western world to permit Africa to handle its own challenges.
In a tweet, Adeyanju expressed his belief that ECOWAS must act swiftly and decisively in response to the coup in Niger.
He warned that failure to do so could lead to Russia attempting a coup in Nigeria soon.

He emphasized the importance of Africa managing its own affairs without interference, stating that the idea of new colonial masters in the 21st century is not only disgusting but also irritating.
Reports indicate that ECOWAS is mobilizing to intervene in the Niger Republic after President Bazoum was ousted by coup plotters.
