Edo Train Station Attack: Ransom is being demanded from the kidnappers of the passengers who were taken while they were waiting to board a train at Ekehen station in Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State.

According to the information gathered by this Online Newspaper, the kidnappers made contact with members of the victims’ families on Monday and demanded a ransom payment of N20 million for each of the kidnapped victims.

Benson Ordia, a youth leader in the neighbourhood, confirmed the incident and stated that the state government has promised to conduct a survey in the neighbourhood.

SP Chidi Nwanbuzor, who serves as the spokesperson for the Edo state Command, has stated that he is unaware of the demand made by the kidnappers.

It is important to keep in mind that 32 passengers were abducted on Saturday when armed men stormed the station and took them into the surrounding forest.

Security personnel, in conjunction with hunters and vigilantes, were able to save six of the victims, including three children.
