Federal Government declares public holidays for Christmas, New Year
To commemorate Christmas and Boxing Day on December 25 and 26, 2022, the federal government has designated those days as holidays for the general public.
In addition, the day after New Year’s Day, Monday, January 2, 2023, has been set aside as a holiday to commemorate the holiday.

The Public holidays announcement was made yesterday by Dr. Shuaib Belgore, who serves as the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of the Interior, on behalf of the Minister of the Interior, Rauf Aregbesola.
