The disappearance of the corps member raises serious concerns about both her safety and the potential impact on the integrity of the electoral process.

Dr. Bolaji Olaleye, the local government collation officer, disclosed during the presentation of election results that the NYSC member failed to respond to numerous calls, leading to fears that something untoward may have transpired. Adding to the unease is the fact that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) and the crucial results sheet she possessed have yet to be recovered.

During the announcement of the election results, Dr. Olaleye shared the disconcerting information, stating, “I don’t know what happened to the female Corps member, but we couldn’t locate the BVAS and results sheet in her possession, which led to the cancellation of the election in ward three polling units.”

Efforts to ascertain the whereabouts and well-being of the missing corps member were further hampered when a call to a provided number was abruptly ended by a female respondent. Subsequent attempts to reach the number proved fruitless, as the phone was switched off. The true caller application identified the owner of the number as Mmesoma Maryann.
