FCT bans POS operators from residential areas
Owners of Point of Sales (POS) devices are required by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to confine their operations to commercial zones.
On Wednesday, Umar Shuaibu, the coordinator for the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC), issued the instruction.

According to Shuaibu, the administration would not permit operators to forcibly occupy sensitive areas.

He explained that the neighbourhood concept, which brings services closer to the people, was built into the Abuja Master Plan.
Shuaib advised POS owners to be present in shopping malls, plazas, markets, supermarkets, and gas stations.

The AMAC boss advised the operators to speak with the property owners in order to conduct business on their property.
