Buildings do not simply collapse. There are continually displaying  signals. However, many Nigerians either do not identify the indications or do not pay attention to them.

Some buildings can be compared to “a ticking time bomb”. With the recent spate growing spate in building collapse, it is important for us to identify an impending building collapse and act accordingly.

Major cracks in your walls are a warning sign that something bad is about to happen.

The term “dilapidation” refers to a structure’s physical life coming to an end, i.e., the building is nearing a state that would make it unfit for use. Such building problems can arise for a variety of reasons, including natural degradation and aging, insufficient care, the use of underspecified materials, and poor craftsmanship.

A foundation is designed to support the weight of a structure. When there are obvious symptoms of a faulty foundation.

If your floors are out of level or appear to be drooping, bowing, or dipping, this could be a sign of problems.
