The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly arrested former Taraba State governor, Darius Ishaku, over allegations of involvement in a N27 billion fraud.
According to reports from Daily Trust, Ishaku was detained by EFCC officials on the morning of Friday, September 27, 2024, at his residence in Abuja. The ex-governor, who served from 2015 to 2023, faces at least 15-count charges of fraud.

Sources reveal that Ishaku’s arraignment is imminent, pending the compilation of evidence against him.
The EFCC’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, confirmed the former governor’s arrest, adding that the case will proceed to court soon.
