Chimaroke Nnamani Drags PDP To Court Over Expulsion From Party
Chimaroke Nnamani, senator for the Enugu East Senatorial District, has filed a lawsuit against the Peoples Democratic Party in response to his expulsion for anti-party activities.

A few days prior to his expulsion from the party, the former governor of Enugu State filed the lawsuit before the Federal High Court in Abuja on February 7, 2023.

The former governor who openly supported the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, leading to his initial suspension from the People’s Democratic Party, argued that he could not support a northerner succeeding Muhammadu Buhari as president after eight years in office.

However, the party suspended him and after a meeting with the top echelon of the party he was expelled from the party.
