10 feared massacred in Anambra inter communal crisis
On Monday, a conflict between the Anaku and Omor communities in the Ayamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State is thought to have killed at least 10 people.
As of the time of filing in the report, no one knew what caused the current crisis, but sources said that there have been long-lasting conflicts between the two communities in the recent past.

A source in the community told our correspondent about the new crisis and said that some community leaders would soon talk about it.
When asked about this, the state police spokesman, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, said that there are a lot of police and military around the communities as part of a joint task force team.
“I don’t know much about it yet, but early this morning, February 6, 2023, the command got a report that gunshots were heard in the Omor and Anaku community in Ayamelum LGA.

“There has been a lot of use of a police-military team called a “joint task force.” Situations are being watched.
