Minority Leader, Elumelu loses Rep seat to Labour Party in Delta
Prof. Kenneth Ibe, the Returning Officer for the Independent National Electoral Commission, announced in Asaba on Monday that Elumelu received 33,456 votes and the LP candidate received 53,879 votes, making the LP candidate, Ngozi Okolie the winner.
Darius Ishaku
Governor of Taraba State, Darius Ishaku, has lost his bid to represent Taraba South in the National Assembly.

Ishaku is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the district.
According to information gathered by Ejes Gist News Nigeria, the APC candidate received 85,415 votes to defeat the governor, who received 45,508 votes.
Michael Magaji, the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate, placed third with 4,133 votes.
Ishaku’s defeat continues an unusual trend of governors losing their bids for the Senate.
Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom
Earlier, Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom lost his election bid for the Benue North West Senatorial District.

The PDP candidate for senator in the district lost to his APC opponent, Titus Zam, who is also a former adviser to the governor.
Simon Lalong, Plateau State Governor

In addition, Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong, who is also the General Director of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), was unsuccessful in his bid to win the Plateau South Senatorial District.
He was defeated by Rtd AVM Bali Ninkap Napoleon of the PDP in Saturday’s National Assembly elections.
Professor Meshak Goyit, the Returning Officer, announced that Bali Napoleon of the PDP received 148,844 votes to defeat Governor Lalong of the APC with 91,674 votes, while Tobias Nda of the Labour Party received 17,334 votes.
Banky W loses Eti-Osa Reps seat to LP candidate
Popular singer and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Olubankole Wellington a.k.a. Banky W lost Saturday’s election for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency to Mr Thaddeus Attah of the Labour Party (LP).
Prof Funmilayo Odukoya, the returning officer of the Independent National Electoral Commission, made this known during the result collation and announcement at the Model Nursery and Primary School, Marwa, Lekki 1.
According to her, Attah won with 24,075 votes, surpassing his opponents Banky W of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Mr Babjide Obanikoro of the APC, who received 18,666 and 16,905 votes, respectively.
Odukoya stated, “That Thaddeus Attah of the LP, having met the legal requirements, is hereby declared the winner and is returned elected. She added that the following candidates also received votes: Mr. Oladehin Olufemi of the African Democratic Congress received 1,422 votes; Mr. Azeez Kabirat of the New Nigeria Peoples Party received 414 votes; and Mr. Olasunkanmi Ololade of the Social Democratic Party received 207 votes.
Ugwuanyi loses Senatorial bid to LP candidate
Governor Ifeanyi Lawrence Ugwuanyi has lost his bid to return to the National Assembly, this time to his longtime rival, Labour Party’s Barr. Okey Ezea.
Barr. Okey Ezea was declared the winner of Saturday’s Senate election in the Enugu North Senatorial zone.
The Labour Party candidate defeated Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
Prof. Chukwuemeka Ubaka, the returning officer, announced the election results early Monday morning.
Ezea received 104 492 votes, while Ugwuanyi of the PDP received 46 948 votes, as reported by the returning officer.
However, Eze Simon, the APC candidate, finished third with 6,816 votes.
Ayade Loses C’River North Senate Seat to Jarigbe
Professor Ben Ayade, governor of Cross River State, has lost the election for the Northern Senatorial District to Peoples Democratic Party incumbent Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe.
Dr. Emmanuel Emanghe stated that Jarigbe received 76,145 votes to defeat Ayade of the APC, who received 56,595 votes.
“By the authority vested in me as returning officer, I hereby announce and declare Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe the winner of the recently concluded election for senatorial district Cross River North,” the returning officer said.
