PDP witness testifies against Tinubu, Atiku
In a dramatic turn of events, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) witness testified against the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
According to him, neither his party’s candidate nor All Progressives Congress (APC) President Bola Tinubu are qualified to be declared president.

According to him, neither candidate received 25% in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Mohammed Babaji Madaki, who is also the chairman of the PDP in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), testified that neither Atiku nor Tinubu received more than 25 percent of all votes cast in the FCT.
He insisted that a candidate must receive 25% of the total votes cast in the FCT in order to be declared president.

The witness clarified, when asked if his statement was merely his opinion, that it was based on constitutional provisions.
Tinubu was declared the winner of the February 25 presidential election by INEC after receiving 8,794,726 votes.
Abubakar finished second with 6,984,520 votes, while Obi came in third with 6,101,533 votes.
