Governor Wike Promises To Pay for Atiku’s Campaign
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State said that Atiku’s campaign office was closed during his speech at today’s launching of the Aluu-Omagwa link road.
According to Wike, the Atiku presidential campaign committee disregarded state law, which caused their office to be sealed.

Following that, Wike said that anyone seeking for office in the state must pay, just like Peter Obi did yesterday, and that if the PDP Presidential Campaign Council is unwilling to do so, he will pay the bill himself.
He said:
“They are lying when they claim that I closed up Atiku’s campaign headquarters. They have a pathological habit of lying. No one truth was spoken by them. The state will never be violent, whatever their attempts to make it such. I only advised you to follow the law.”
“We didn’t want to impose the law on them even though they didn’t want to follow it. Because of this, we proceeded to court, and the judge issued a legal order sealing the area.”
“Peter Obi came, I gave him the Gowon Liberation Stadium. I provided vehicles, I provided security and they paid. I told them to go and campaign.”
“If you want to campaign, apply to us and we’ll give you the biggest stadium. But if you don’t have money to pay like Peter Obi, I hereby say that I will pay for you.”
