On Monday evening, gunmen ambushed a bus carrying Dangote Cement staff in the Okpella area of Edo State, kidnapping scores of workers and shooting several others.

The attack occurred as the staff were returning from work, with witnesses reporting that a coaster bus filled with staff was attacked and the entire staff was kidnapped.
Company Confirms Attack and Kidnapping
The spokesperson for Okpella Cement Plc, Michael Odofin, has confirmed the attack and abduction of the company’s workers ¹. Although details of the incident are scarce, Odofin stated that the attack is still fresh and no one has been killed.
