Former deputy governor of Lagos State under Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Senator Kofoworola Bucknor-Akerele, has claimed that the 2023 presidential candidate terrorised her while they were coworkers.
Senator Bucknor-Akerele served as Tinubu’s deputy from May 1999 to November 2003. But recently, the two politicians have not been on the same page.

Bucknor-Akerele was persuaded to serve as Tinubu’s deputy by Afenifere leaders in 1999, when democracy was restored in Nigeria.
Things broke down, however, when Bucknor-Akerele claimed that Tinubu was trying to take control of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), adding, “I feel that I could not follow him in that scheme.”
