I won’t attend any debate without Tinubu, Atiku – Peter Obi

Doyin Okupe, the Director General of the Obi-Datti Campaign Organization, has announced that the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, will no longer attend any debate if his counterparts in the other parties do not attend.

Monday’s press briefing in Abuja was where Okupe broke the news about this development.

Okupe further stated that Obi would no longer debate with surrogates or running mates, and that he would withdraw from any debate even at the eleventh hour if other presidential contenders did not turn up.

Alongside prominent presidential contenders including Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Obi is vying for the top post at Aso Rock.

At a debate that took place on Sunday, candidate of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) including Obi, Kwankwaso, and Kola Abiola were present.

Even though the governor of Delta State and a contender for the PDP vice presidency, Ifeanyi Okowa, was there to support Atiku, Tinubu and his running companion, Kashim Shettima, were not there.
