If I Wake Up, Whatever You See, You Take — Governor Wike Sends Strong Warning To Powerful Nigerian Senator
Following a statement by Senator Lee Maeba in which he claimed that Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike was pursuing him and others for their support of PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, Wike has warned Maeba to stop and said that he has nothing to do with his attack. Wike also said that he has nothing to do with Maeba’s statement.
When he wakes up, Wike said, he should take anything he sees since Meaba is waking him up while he is now asleep. Wike went on to explain that he finds it incomprehensible how a man could claim to have been attacked while still having all of his gates, windows, and brand-new automobiles in tact.
According to him, “the commissioner of police said listen, your house is surrounded by all houses, you have two gates in your house, and none of the gates was destroyed.” In your house, no window was damaged. The cars you said were damaged, rickety cars, but new brand cars were not touched. Have you ever seen such a thing?
“But you see, I laugh and say, “God knows the truth,” but when people are pushing politics too far, when I’m sleeping, you’re waking me up. I don’t want to wake up; you’re the one waking me up. When I wake, whatever you see, you take because I’ve been sleeping and I want to sleep very well, yet you don’t want me to sleep. You’re waking me up when I don’t want to wake up. “When you force a man to wake, anything he does, don’t blame him, ooh.”
