Frank Mba and Idowu Owohunwa to become Commissioners of Police.
The Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, has recommended to the Police Service Commission the appointment of CP Frank Mba as the next Commissioner of Police for Lagos State.
Idowu Owohunwa is also recommended to the PSC for the position of Commissioner of Police in Ogun State.

While CP Frank Mba, the former Force Public Relations Officer, is the current Commissioner of Police in charge of the Federal Border Patrol branch at the department of operations, CP Owohunwa is the Inspector General of Police’s Principal Staff Officer (PSO).
A letter to this effect from the IGP, dated 24 January 2023 and signed by the Force Secretary, AIG Hafiz Inuwa, has been delivered to the Police Service Commission (PSC) for activation.

Mba succeeds CP Abiodun Alabi in Lagos State, while Owohunwa succeeds CP Lanre Bankole in Ogun State.

According to the letter, the postings are part of the IGP’s plan to strengthen the strategic and operational preparedness of the Police force in the Lagos and Ogun commands.
It reads, “I am directed to humbly write and forward for the Commission’s consideration and approval the proposed posting of the following commissioners of police to the State Commands indicated against their names.”
