Minister Nyesom Wike Expresses Willingness for Peace Amidst Ongoing State Crisis
Amidst the escalating faceoff with Governor Sim Fubara in Rivers State, the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has declared his readiness for peace, emphasizing his determination to avoid being pulled down amid the discord.
In a recent statement made during an interaction with traditional rulers of Ogbaland on the occasion of his 56th birthday at his Port Harcourt residence, Wike asserted his willingness to embrace peace but made it clear that he wouldn’t permit any force to undermine him or his team.
“No politician will sit idly and let themselves be dragged down. My team and I are open to peace, but we refuse to be undermined. If we go down, who will safeguard our people? Who will advocate for our interests?” Wike articulated.
