INEC Official, Obozuwa Josephine, Manipulates Edo Governorship Election Result.
A scandal has rocked the Edo State governorship election as INEC official, Obozuwa Josephine, has been exposed for manipulating the results at Osholo Primary School in Weppa Ward, Etsako East.
Checks by Ejes Gist News show that Josephine awarded 352 votes to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, 52 votes to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and, shockingly, only one vote each to the Labour Party and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
The INEC official in charge of the polling unit, Obozuwa Josephine, accredited only 213 voters out of 493 registered. However, the official result she signed and uploaded to the INEC IReV portal showed a total of 406 votes.
The total number of valid votes at the polling unit amounted to 406 votes, despite only 213 accredited voters. This presents a clear case of over-voting.
This blatant manipulation led to an inflated voter turnout of 82%, directly contradicting the actual number of accredited voters.
The falsified result, confirmed through signed documents obtained by Ejes Gist News, raises suspicions that the manipulation was intended to favour a particular candidate.
Ejes Gist News gathered that the result for the polling unit at Osholo Primary School, Osholo in Etsako East local government area of the State was uploaded by Obozuwa at about 4:06:09 pm on Saturday.
The incident has sparked outrage, with many calling on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to take immediate action.
