Goodluck Jonathan, Former Nigerian President opens up on being ‘against’ Atiku
Goodluck Jonathan, who served as president of Nigeria before, has debunked rumours that he is dissatisfied with Atiku Abubakar, who is running for president as the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). Jonathan said the rumours are false.
In a recent statement that was issued to newsmen by the former Nigerian leader’s Media Adviser, Ike Eze, the former Nigerian leader responded to the accusation by denying that he is opposed to Atiku.

“Those who insinuate that Dr. Jonathan is not happy with the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, because of whatever roles he played ahead of the 2015 elections forget that the former President actively campaigned for Atiku in 2019, attending the flag off of his campaign in Sokoto and subsequently participating in the campaigns in some states like Rivers and Bayelsa.
In addition, those who insinuate that Dr. Jonathan is not happy with the PDP presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar are Detractors spreading rumors and false information.

“There is no way to dispute the fact that Dr. Jonathan was a model politician who, throughout his entire political career, detested dishonesty and small-mindedness and engaged in politics without resentment. This is a statement that cannot be disputed.
The statement says, in part, that “unlike many of his detractors, the former President has, since leaving office, progressed to a higher level of statesmanship.”
Meanwhile the G5 Governors Which comprise of Governor Nyesom Wike, Governor Samuel Ortom, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Seyi Makinde and Okezie Ikpeazu have all granted a soft landing for PDP Presidential candidate as they have brought out new terms to work for the progress of PDP.
