A video of Seun Kuti, the son of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti, boasting about slapping police officers is currently making rounds online.
Although it is unclear when the recording was made, Seun can be heard saying that he had slapped numerous police officers due to his identity.

“Some of una police go slap una, una go come Instagram to explain. Do you know how many police officers I’ve slapped with my hand?
“They claim because you are a Fela child. You do not know that Jesus is God’s plan for your death. You must know who you are before taking action. Therefore, I take action because I know who I am…”
This online newspaper has earlier reported that Usman Alkali Baba, the Inspector-General of Police, ordered the arrest of Kuti after he was caught assaulting a police officer on duty.
On Saturday night, in response to the news via Instagram Story, the musician claimed that the officer attempted to murder him and his family.

In addition, he asserted that the officer had apologised and that he had forgiven him.
Kuti stated, “He attempted to murder me and my family.” I have the evidence, but I do not pursue influence. He has expressed regret, and I have decided not to press charges. Make una mind una business, so the unfortunate man does not lose his job.”
Regarding the order to arrest him, the singer expressed enthusiasm for the investigation.
“I welcome the investigation and will cooperate fully! I also pray to the IG that the guilty party will be indicted,” he wrote.
This news comes weeks after music superstar Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, was arrested for harassing police officers.
