Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, stated in a press release on Tuesday that the Board is also addressing cases of unverified candidates and will soon provide clarity on the matter.

Addressing erroneous publications alleging that an unidentified candidate obtained scores without sitting for the UTME, JAMB labeled such reports as false and aimed at tarnishing the Board’s reputation. Dr. Benjamin urged the public to disregard such claims, emphasizing the Board’s commitment to maintaining the integrity of its examinations.

The Board highlighted the prevalence of mischief makers during this period and cautioned candidates against disclosing sensitive information to third parties. Investigations revealed that some individuals fabricated results by editing details from results sent to other candidates.

To counter such fraudulent activities, JAMB plans to enhance the UTME result checking process by adding additional features such as registration numbers. Candidates are advised to safeguard their information, as collaboration with mischievous elements will lead to consequences.
