Breaking: JAMB Releases Withheld UTME Results, Announces Resit Dates for Others

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released 3,921 results from the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) that were previously withheld for further investigation. Additionally, the board has rescheduled 24,535 candidates from the 2024 UTME to retake the exam on Saturday, June 22, 2024, in their chosen examination towns.

JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this information in a statement on Sunday, June 2. The board extended the registration deadline for the 2024 Direct Entry (DE) examination to Monday, June 17, 2024.

    • JAMB has released 3,921 UTME results that were previously withheld for further investigation. Candidates can check their results from Saturday, June 1, 2024, by sending “RESULT” to 55019 or 66019. Those whose results were cleared will receive their scores, while others will be notified of their rescheduled examination date.
  2. Rescheduled Examinations:
    • Due to substantial non-compliance with JAMB’s standards in certain centres, 24,535 candidates will retake the UTME on June 22, 2024. These candidates are advised to print their supplementary Examination Notification Slip from Tuesday, June 4, 2024, to know their designated examination centres.
  3. Extension of Direct Entry Registration:
    • The deadline for 2024 Direct Entry registration has been extended to June 17, 2024, allowing more candidates to register for the examination.

“The Board has painstakingly analysed the process and conduct of the 2024 UTME in some centres where there are strong proofs of substantial non-compliance with the Board’s standards. Consequently, 24,535 candidates have been rescheduled to retake the examination in their chosen Examination Towns on Saturday, June 22, 2024.

“Meanwhile, 3,921 outstanding 2024 UTME results that had been cleared have now been released. Therefore, concerned candidates are urged to check their results from Saturday, 1st June 2024, by sending RESULT to 55019 or 66019 to ascertain their status, as those cleared would have their results while those rescheduled would be told that they had been rescheduled.

“The rescheduled candidates are to print their supplementary Examination Notification Slip from Tuesday, 4th June 2024, to ascertain their designated examination centres.

“This release brings the total results released to 1,883,350.”
