The interim injunction was granted unanimously by a seven-member Supreme Court panel led by Justice John Okoro, following an ex parte petition filed by the governments of Kogi, Kaduna, and Zamfara.
The Supreme Court also ruled that the Federal Government and the apex bank could not extend the deadline until the outcome of the hearing on February 15.
The meeting’s outcome is unknown, but the visit by the apex bank chief is related to the Supreme Court’s ruling.
