House of Reps candidate, Jacob Funmi Ogunmola dies after attending Political function
Jacob Funmi Ogunmola, also known as JFO, was slated to run as a candidate for the Accord Party in the upcoming general election in 2023 for the Atisbo/Saki West/Saki East Federal Constituency of Oyo State. Unfortunately, he passed away.
This online newspaper gathered that Ogunmola passed away on Sunday, just a few hours after leaving a gathering in Saki.

The late politician served as the caretaker chairman of Atisbo Local Government during the administration of Governor Abiola Ajimobi, who also passed away.
When the late Ogunmola passed away, according to a source close to him, he was in the process of being transported from Saki to Lagos, which was his base.
This information was provided by the first source. When he finally breathed his last, they were in the process of travelling to Lagos.

According to a second source, he had just finished a programme in Saki when he complained that he was feeling ill.
Wasiu Owolabi, who was Ogunmola’s designated successor in office as council chairman, passed away in a car accident a few months ago.
After Ogunmola’s departure, there has been a flood of condolence messages posted on various social media platforms.
