Gunmen Abduct Zamfara Traditional Ruler
This online newspaper reports that armed individuals have kidnapped a traditional ruler in the state of Zamfara.
Armed individuals have kidnapped the District Head of Kwangwami, which is located within the Moriki Emirate in the Zurmi Local Government Area (LGA) of Zamfara State.

Around 10:30 a.m. on Monday, it was gathered that the traditional ruler was among the hostages kidnapped by the terrorists along with an unknown number of other people.
When the lawbreakers arrived, many of the residents who were kidnapped were working on their farms when they were taken.

Over the course of the previous two years, the bandits have wrecked havoc in the northwest region of Nigeria, kidnapping thousands of people, killing hundreds, and making it dangerous to travel by road or farm in certain areas.
