Wike Dissolves Cabinet, Sacks Chief Of Staff, Special Assistants
The State Executive Council has been dissolved by Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, with effect from Tuesday, May 24, 2022.
The Governor’s Chief of Staff and the Senior Special Assistant (Protocol), according to a statement by Kevin Ebiri, his special assistant on media, have also been fired.
“Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike commends the members of the Rivers State Executive Council for their dedication and contribution to the state’s growth.” He also wished them well in all of their future endeavours.
“As a result, Governor Wike has directed that all previous members of the State Executive Council take over to the most senior officers in their respective Ministries.”
