Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, the minority leader of the House of Representatives and a representative of the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, failed in his attempt to win reelection after losing to Ngozi Okolie, the Labour Party candidate.

Elumelu is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the election and was seeking re-election to the Green Chamber for the third time.

Ngozi Okolie, who is seemingly an unknown political underdog, defeated Elumelu in the results collated from the four councils that made up the constituency in Saturday’s National Assembly election.
