“The party’s attention has been drawn to a series of letters written by former National Youth Leader Anselem Eragbe to various groups and media organisations.
“Over the past few days, Eragbe has issued a number of press releases criticising the activities of the party, especially in regard to the ongoing court cases.
Ifoh stated, “We have credible information that Eragbe has been heavily compromised to work against the party’s interests in our efforts to reclaim the mandate awarded to the party in the last presidential election.”
He claimed that Eragbe was misleading Nigerians about the true state of the party.
“Nigerians made a free choice regarding who should preside over the nation’s affairs, but it was snatched away, a situation we are working tirelessly to rectify in the courts.

“He has filed a lawsuit against the party and some of our leaders; it is extremely odd that he has resorted to self-help rather than allowing the court to decide the cases before it.
“To clarify, his accusation of forgery against the national chairman has already been filed with the court, and a date has been set for the matter’s resolution.
“Therefore, it constitutes contempt of court to continue spreading lies while the case is pending.
“If he is confident in his claims, he should wait, exercise some restraint, and prove them in court,”
