The Lagos State government has issued a warning to job seekers and other members of the public, stating that the information is wholly false, warning them not to fall prey to fraudsters who originated a statement announcing vacancies for categories of teachers in the state public primary and secondary schools.

This clarification was provided by the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) in a statement made public on Wednesday by the commission’s Head of Public Affairs unit, Mr. Kayode Sutton.
He claimed that in order to prevent innocent job and their families from becoming victims of fraudsters, the commission had to refute the story that had already gained widespread distribution, particularly on the WhatsApp platform.
He emphasized that TESCOM, which oversees the hiring of secondary school teachers in the state among other things, is not currently hiring or delegating that responsibility to any person, group, or organization.
According to him, the commission would undoubtedly post official job announcements as it typically does whenever such a chance presents itself.
