Lawmaker Urges Swift Security Deployment to Curb Killings in Katsina State.
In a resolute call to action, Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmed, the lawmaker representing the Musawa/Matazu Federal Constituency in Katsina State, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to promptly deploy increased security forces to address the escalating wave of killings and banditry-related activities that have plagued the state.
Ahmed’s plea comes in response to a recent protest staged by his constituency members, who expressed their deep concern over the persistently disturbing incidents of killings and abductions of farmers within the region.
He strongly believes that the deployment of an ample number of security personnel would serve as a decisive step towards eradicating the prevailing insecurity and reining in the activities of criminal elements.

“The President and the nation’s security chiefs should employ all legitimate and innovative means to curb the security challenges bedevilling our citizens, especially farmers in the state,” stated Ahmed, underscoring the gravity of the situation. He asserted that the current strategies in place to counter the security challenges have proven insufficient to surmount the growing adversities, leaving the residents in a state of vulnerability both economically and in terms of their physical safety.

To address these alarming concerns, the legislator called upon President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take swift and substantial action. “I, therefore, call on our amiable president, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to, as a matter of urgency, deploy massive security personnel to Katsina in order to end the wanton destruction of lives and property in the state,” Ahmed emphasized, highlighting the urgency of the situation.
