Leicester City vs Man City: manager drops Haaland from squad for EPL clash

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has not named Erling Haaland to his team for today’s match against Leicester City.

This season, the Norwegian has already scored 17 goals in 11 Premier League games.

However, Haaland suffered an injury in City’s 0-0 draw with Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday evening.

Guardiola substituted Haaland at halftime in Dortmund, confirming that he had a foot injury and a minor temperature.

The City manager stated on Friday afternoon, “He feels better, but we will train this afternoon and assess in a few hours.”

“We’ll see how he feels in his foot and then make a decision.” I’ll know in two hours if he’ll be able to play or not.”

However, Haaland did not make the roster, with Julian Alvarez starting in his place.

Jack Grealish has also been called up to the starting lineup, and Bernardo Silva will most likely play on the right side of the front three.
