Less than 60 days to the 2023 general elections in Nigeria, 17,299 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have defected to the main opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Sokoto State.

Ejesgist.ng reports that the defection was recorded on Sunday in the Silame Local Government Area (LGA) on Sunday.

Also, Saidu Umar, the PDP governorship flag-bearer in Sokoto State, took his campaign to the local government.
