Kogi: Man shot dead after allegedly snatching ballot box
There are reports that a young man named Ojochenemi Akayaba was fatally shot in Kogi State for allegedly stealing a ballot box.
What began as peaceful elections for the presidency and the National Assembly in the Dekina Local Government Area were disrupted.

Some suspected political thugs disrupted voting at various polling locations within the council.
They attacked locations in the communities of Dekina, Anyigba, and Abocho, destroying materials belonging to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
At certain units in Udaba-Dekina and Tudunwada, ballot papers and boxes were also stolen or destroyed.
Akayaba was reportedly “shot dead” after stealing a ballot box in the Agwudoko neighborhood of Anyigba.
It is believed that he was murdered by security personnel.
A photograph posted on social media depicts the graduate lying lifeless.
