Man Stabs Football Coach To Death Over Suspicion Of Having Affair With His Wife in Malawi

A man named Shem Wisdom, who is 37 years old, was taken into custody in Malawi.

The man was arrested in Malawi on the suspicion that he was responsible for the stabbing death of Gift Kalibeti, who was suspected of having a sexual relationship with the man’s wife.

Wisdom has leveled the accusation of extramarital affair against Kalibeti, who works at the Mulanje District Hospital and is also a coach for the local football team.

Wisdom checked the phone belonging to his wife and discovered Kalibeti’s messages on it. After that, he communicated with Kalibeti by sending him a message telling him to meet him at his house.

Kalibeti, who is a family man and is already married, went to the house under the impression that Wisdom’s wife had invited him there.

On the other hand, Wisdom allegedly greeted him with open arms before stabbing him to death.

On Thursday, January 5, 2023, the spokesperson for the Mulanje Police Department, Sergeant Innocent Moses, confirmed the incident to journalists and stated that the suspect had been arrested.
