Missing Fulani Leader Found Dead in Abandoned Well in Plateau State.
Tragedy struck in Jokom community, Mangu town, Plateau state, as the missing Fulani leader, Umar Ibrahim, was discovered lifeless in an abandoned well.
The leader, who held the position of Ciroma in the Kumbun district of Mangu Local Government Area (LGA), went missing on Wednesday, sparking concern and a search for his whereabouts.

The spokesperson of Operation Safe Haven, Captain Oya James, confirmed the unfortunate incident, revealing that Umar Ibrahim’s lifeless body was found in the abandoned well at Jokom community.
The Gan Allah Fulani Development Association (GAFDAN) shed more light on the circumstances surrounding the leader’s disappearance. According to Garba Abdullahi, the state chairman of GAFDAN, Ibrahim went missing when he left a hospital to buy food for his ailing wife, who was receiving treatment.

“He visited his wife at the sickbay in Mangu. Around 6 pm on Wednesday, he went out to buy food for her but couldn’t return. After searching for four days, the body was found in an abandoned well close to the hospital. The corpse was recovered together with soldiers attached to Operation Safe Haven, who have been maintaining peace in the area,” explained Abdullahi.
Expressing grief over the incident, Abdullahi urged fellow members to remain calm and avoid taking the law into their own hands. He reassured them that security agencies are diligently working on the case and called for a thorough investigation to identify and apprehend the perpetrators responsible for the tragic act.
