RCCG pastor Irukwu introduced Obi as ‘president’ in London
The pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Agu Irukwu, referred to Peter Obi as “President” on Sunday.
During church service, the senior pastor of the Jesus House for All Nations Parish in Brent Cross, London, made the error.

Irukwu introduced Obi by saying, “And we have the president, ah, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi.”
“We have always admired Mr. Peter Obi. God, we appreciate him tremendously.”
Despite their leader’s slip of the tongue, the congregation erupted in applause, with many churchgoers rising to their feet.

The former governor of Anambra, who remained seated, laughed along with the pastor and hundreds of worshippers at the mistake.
Obi is in court to contest the results of the February 25 presidential election, which All Progressives Congress candidate Bola Tinubu won.
However controversy has trailed the petition by the labour party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as the medium used by his vice presidential candidate Datti was slammed with N5 million naira and Obi was accused by Lai Mohammed of Treason.
