Man arrested as teenager kills 3-year-old girl with loaded gun
Semiu Adegesin, age 45, was detained on Friday by the Ogun State Police Command.
According to a statement by the public relations officer, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the suspect’s carelessness caused a 3-year-old daughter named Esther Samuel to pass away.
He was detained after Imasayi Divisional headquarters received a report that Ope Babalola, a 13-year-old boy, had shot Esther.
According to reports, the adolescent shot at Kukudi village in Imasayi, Yewa North Local Government District, with a dane gun.
Detectives were directed to the spot by SP Arowojeun Michael, a Divisional Police Officer, where the dead was found lying in a pool of blood.

According to preliminary investigation, Semiu loaded his dane gun and negligently left it in the backyard of the house where kids play.
The young child was transferred to General Hospital Ilaro, where the physician on duty verified she had passed away.
Frank Mba, the commissioner of police, expressed sympathy to the family and ordered that the investigation be forwarded to the State Criminal Investigation Department’s Murder division.
