The IGP made his comments during a national dialogue on state police in Abuja, where he suggested alternative measures to improve security, such as increasing police recruitment and training.

However, Jonathan, who attended the event alongside Vice President Kashim Shettima, emphasized the need for state police to address kidnapping and other crimes.
