The offense carries a penalty of dismissal from service with dishonor and a potential jail term.
This incident comes on the heels of another recent dismissal of two soldiers who were caught stealing armored cables from the Dangote Refinery in Lagos, as exclusively reported by SaharaReporters.
The Nigerian Army has taken a strong stance against indiscipline and misconduct within its ranks, and this dismissal serves as a warning to others who may engage in similar behavior.
