The Nigerian Army is set to release more than 200 individuals suspected of involvement in Boko Haram terrorist activities.
According to military sources, these detainees have been cleared of any association with the extremist group.

The handover ceremony is scheduled to take place on Tuesday at Giwa Barracks in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.
The detainees, who were apprehended during the insurgency, will be transferred to the Borno State Government for rehabilitation and reintegration into society.

A top military source revealed, “Not fewer than 200 cleared Boko Haram suspects that are being cleared of any wrongdoing by security operatives, and they will be handed over to the Borno State Government for rehabilitation and reintegration.
The Borno State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Zuwaira Gambo, along with the Information and Internal Security Commissioner, Prof Tar Umar, will be present to receive the cleared detainees on behalf of the state government.
