1) Dangote Refinery, Portharcourt and others wont change pump price
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited has stated that the local production of Premium Motor Spirit, also known as petrol, by Dangote Refinery, Port Harcourt Refining Company, and others in Nigeria will not affect the pump price of the commodity. Mele Kyari, Group Chief Executive Officer of the NNPCL, revealed this information in an interview on Thursday.

A report published by the Stefanos Foundation, a non-governmental organisation concerned with human rights and peacebuilding, reveals that there were 217 attacks from 34 states in Nigeria between January and April of 2023. The Jos-based human rights organisation reported that the attacks resulted in 1,872 deaths, 714 kidnappings, and 65 injuries.
