1. Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin, a Reps member-elect, stated that Governor Abdullahi Ganduje agreed to President-elect Bola Tinubu’s meeting with Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso in France. On Monday, Tinubu and Kwankwaso met for four hours.
2. Eight days before his inauguration as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President-elect Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria. After a week in Europe, the incoming President returned to the country on Saturday.
3. The Dangote Oil Refinery, with a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day (BPD), which President Muhammadu Buhari will inaugurate tomorrow, is expected to meet 100% of Nigeria’s demand for all refined products.
Premium motor spirit (PMS), diesel (AGO), aviation jet fuel and dual purpose kerosene (DPK), among other products, are expected to be produced in tonnes per day, giving Nigerians hope.
4. On Saturday, gunmen killed two police officers from Imo State’s Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) in Ngor Okpala Junction, Ngor Okpala Local Government Area. The gunmen, suspected to be Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) members, were said to have attacked police officers conducting a stop and search operation at a checkpoint in the area.
5. Hon. Muritala Yakubu Ajaka, a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) National Working Committee (NWC), has resigned. In a letter to Senator Abdullahi Adamu, a member of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), the former NWC member expressed his resignation.
6. Tinubu: Details Of ‘Leaked Audio’ Between Ganduje And Masari.
A former placeholder vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ibrahim Masari has lamented on how the president-elect, Bola Tinubu is handling his recent meeting with Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Masari wondered why Tinubu did not inform the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje about his meeting with the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in France.

7. At least 12 people were killed in a road accident in Gbongan, Osun State, on the Ife-Ibadan Motorway. When contacted on Saturday, Kehinde Adeleke, the spokesperson for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps’ Osun command, confirmed the accident and warned motorists against speeding and disregarding traffic laws.
8. The Federal Government says it has reached an agreement with the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) and the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) to end the five-day nationwide warning strike of resident doctors.
9. Presidential Tribunal Court Adjourns Peter Obi’s Case Against Tinubu
The Labour Party (LP) and its presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, have complained to the election petition court that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has refused them access to conduct forensic examinations on the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS), in flagrant violation of the court’s order.
