1. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has issued a directive to banks to remove the post-no-debit restrictions on the bank accounts of 440 individuals and companies. The post-no-debit measure had blocked all debit transactions, including ATM withdrawals and cheques, while still allowing inflows. The circular, signed by A.M. Barau on behalf of the CBN, conveyed this instruction.
2. President Bola Tinubu held an audience with former National Chairman and Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senators Abdullahi Adamu and Iyiola Omisore, respectively, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday. Although specific details of the meeting remain undisclosed, it is believed to be connected to issues surrounding the party’s leadership.

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 25 presidential election, has strongly opposed the declaration of Bola Tinubu as Nigeria’s president, deeming it unlawful and unconstitutional.
