1) The Federal Government announced on Monday that pre-arrival or post-arrival COVID-19 testing is no longer required for travellers, regardless of their status with respect to vaccination. This announcement was made through the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority sent a letter to airline operators on December 12, 2022, containing this announcement.

2) Abubakar Malami (SAN), the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, announced on Monday that the Federal Government would soon resume the prosecution of Boko Haram suspects who are currently being held in particular military formations in Nigeria.

5) The Anambra State Ministry of Women and Social Welfare intervened to save a 13-year-old girl who had allegedly been impregnated by her guardian, Mr. Sunday Muoghalu, and had given birth to a child. Muoghalu was detained on Sunday and turned over to the police, according to Chidimma Ikeanyionwu, the ministry’s spokesperson, who made the announcement on Monday.

6) Suleiman Abdul Ahmed, the chairman of the Labour Party in Kogi State, expressed his regret yesterday that the party had been denied the venue for its mega rally on Tuesday with Mr. Peter Obi, the party’s presidential candidate, by the state government on Monday at the last minute.
