NLC Commences Nationwide Indefinite Strike

The leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has given the Federal Government a seven-day ultimatum to end the country’s cash crunch.

 

Comrade Joe Ajaero, president of the Nigeria Labour Congress, issued the ultimatum at the opening session of the Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting of the labour union on Monday in Abuja.

“Congress wishes to inform the Federal Government that it will no longer remain silent on this issue of fuel scarcity and cash crunch.

“NLC is giving the CBN and the FG seven working days to do the right thing; if they fail to do so, all Nigerian workers should remain at home,” Ajaero said prior to the meeting’s closed-door session.
