Abuja – The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, has been summoned by the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) of the Nigerian Police Force to answer to serious allegations, including criminal conspiracy, terrorism financing, treasonable felony, subversion, and cybercrime. This development was made public in a formal letter of invitation addressed to Ajaero, dated August 19, 2024.

According to the letter, Ajaero is expected to appear at the IRT Complex, located at the Old Abattoir by Guzape Junction, Abuja, on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. prompt. The invitation is part of an ongoing investigation into the aforementioned allegations, in which Ajaero has reportedly been implicated.

The letter, signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police Adam S. Muazu on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, emphasized the gravity of the situation. It stated that failure to comply with the invitation could result in the activation of a warrant for Ajaero’s arrest.
