According to Ejiofor, Kanu ordered that the criminals “should be fished out from their hideouts” because they were terrorising and tormenting Southeast region residents during a five-day sit-at-home period (December 9-14).

On Monday, Kanu’s legal team paid a visit to him at the Department of State Services (DSS) facility in Abuja, where he is being held.

“Onyendu (Kanu) appreciated the millions of his supporters for standing by him, especially in regards to his order that the alleged sit-at-home order, issued by the known enemies of our country, was never complied with.

Onyendu ordered that the criminals who are still at large and purportedly being funded by his peaceful movement’s adversaries in their desperate attempt to ensure that our land is totally destroyed be fished out of their hiding places.

In addition, Onyendu asked UmuChineke to keep an eye on these soulless beings’ methods of operation and covertly smoke them out of their various lairs.

“Onyendu strongly denounced the recent spate of senseless murders and other heinous acts committed by these criminal elements.
