NNPP Sacks Deputy Guber Candidate, Muttaqa Rabe-Darma, One Week To Election
Muttaqa Rabe-Darma, a deputy governorship candidate for the Katsina State chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has been sacked.
According to reports, Rabe-Darma was dismissed along with other senior officials and the state party’s chairman, Alhaji Sani Liti.

Nasiru Usman-Kankia, the NNPP’s director of media and publicity, provided this update to journalists during a briefing on Friday in Katsina. He claimed that they were fired for engaging in anti-party activities, such as endorsing Dikko Radda on Thursday.
In light of this, party officers, members, and candidates at all levels are not permitted to speak with, bargain with, or join forces with any political party in order to win the upcoming gubernatorial and legislative elections.
“Sanctions in accordance with the NNPP Constitution, ranging from suspension to expulsion, will be applied to anyone who supports a candidate from another political party.
“Our emergency meeting deliberated and, with the consent of the party’s national executive committee, decided to expel the officials and participants in the illegal meeting.
Alhaji Sani Liti, state chairman; Umar Jibril, state secretary; Mustapha Basheer, youth leader; Dauda Kurfi, zonal chairman for Katsina; Abdulhadi Mai-Dawa, zonal chairman for Funtua; Dr. Sale Mashi, zonal chairman for Daura; Rabe-Darma, deputy governor candidate; and Sen. Audu Yandoma are among them, according to Usman-Kankia.
